Scentre Group’s $355million project at Westfield Chermside has had its first reveal on 6 April with the first stage opening of the redevelopment, adding 33,000sqm of space to the centre.

H&M, Zara and also Sephora – the beauty giant’s first Brisbane store – are among the three top names in the new level 2 gallery mall, with over 54 fashion and home retailers also opening on the day.

H&M, which opened at 10am Thursday, claimed 2000 shoppers were in the queue for their new store according to The Courier-Mail. It is understood numerous shoppers also camped overnight.

The new level 2 precinct will include a new look Country Road, Witchery and Peter Alexander and many more retailers including Nike, Adidas, Sheike, M.A.C Cosmetics, Hallenstein Brothers and Running Bare to name a few. An array of brands will be celebrating across the weekend with events, entertainment and four days of special offers in store.

Since its establishment in 2014, Scentre Group has completed $1.5 billion worth of projects and maintains a future development pipeline in excess of $3 billion.  In late 2016 a $310 million project was completed at Westfield Warringah Mall, with a $170 million project launched concurrently at Westfield North Lakes.
